Vagabonds have a gun range bonus suited to autocannons, and they're fast with good shield resists. Therefore how you fly them is to be where you're strongest and they're weakest. This is often about 20km away, because then you can 'point' them, without too much threat of getting counter-webbed, and be delivering quite credible amounts of fire onto the target.
Fit wise, there's a few variants, but the most common is autocannons, MWD, 2 LSE, point and some damage mods/tracking enhancers in the lows. Maybe a damage control, maybe not. Matter of taste really. I think I've currently got fit: [Vagabond, 3gyro 220] Gyrostabilizer II Gyrostabilizer II Tracking Enhancer II Tracking Enhancer II Gyrostabilizer II
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive Warp Disruptor II Large F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction Large Shield Extender II
220mm Vulcan AutoCannon II, Barrage M 220mm Vulcan AutoCannon II, Barrage M 220mm Vulcan AutoCannon II, Barrage M 220mm Vulcan AutoCannon II, Barrage M 220mm Vulcan AutoCannon II, Barrage M Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator I
Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing I Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Warrior II x5
Something like that. YMMV, but the way it's to be flown is hold standoff range and pelt them with barrage or faction short range ammo until they die. Once you get a bit more confident as to what you're doing with it, going in 'deep' and hitting them at close range is potent, but does leave you exposed to getting scrammed and webbed yourself.

Hint: Just because you are "able to t2 fit" something doesn't mean you are actually ready to fly it. But don't listen, go ahead and enjoy your shiny 150mil boat. When you're "ready" to fly a carrier b/c you've trained Minmatar Carriers I, let us know too.
I don't get why it's cool to be an arse to someone who doesn't know better? I mean, everyone starts somewhere. It's only when they should know better that it's worth picking on them for doing something silly.
